Animal Crossing: New Horizons players in the Northern Hemisphere will be able to encounter and catch Squid between December and August.
It is also important to note that this creature will spawn at any time of the day. This spawning schedule means that players do not have to set aside some dedicated time during a specific period of time if they want to have a chance at catching one of these critters in the sea.
You will find that this aquatic creature is medium, which means those looking to catch a Squid will need to focus on medium shadow sizes when fishing in the sea. This particular creature is worth a total of 500 Bells, so players can acquire a large amount of Bells if they gather and sell enough of these creatures.
