Diablo 4 has several class-based mechanics that change depending on which you choose. These are usually passive benefits gained by simple, introductory questlines that are given to each class at level 15, and in the case of the Druid we’ll be looking at Spirit Boons: blessings unlocked by leveling Spirit Animals that grant passive bonuses. Let’s take a closer look at the system as a whole.
How to Unlock Spirit Boons in Diablo 4
First, you’re going to need to reach level 15. This should be accomplished pretty quickly by simply playing the campaign and exploring, but if you have a desperate need for your spirit pals right away I’d recommend tackling some of the game’s dungeons.

Upon reaching level 15, you’ll be given the questline Spirits of the Lost Grove, which will take you to the far-flung region of Tur Dulra. Check the map below for a detailed look at where you’ll be heading. You’ll need to clear the Tur Dulra Stronghold to unlock its functionality and waypoint, then complete the rest of the quest to unlock Spirit Boons.
Spend Druidic Offerings at Spirit Shrines
To unlock the actual functionality of each Spirit Animal, you need to spend a total of 100 Druidic Offerings at each of the four. When you unlock all four, you’ll be granted the ability to choose two passives from a single Animal. This means you’ll need a total of 400 Druidic Offerings to access the full potential of Spirit Boons.
Druidic Offerings randomly drop from mobs after reaching level 15, so don’t worry too much about where to find them. Just save them up and spend them whenever you see fit.
That’s about all there is to Spirit Boons! The passives aren’t anything to write home about, but some of them do help out quite a bit with Spirit regeneration. All but the Snake can be previewed right away, but you’ll need to spend 100 Druidic Offerings at once to unlock it. If you want to see what’s in store, you can check out our Snake Spirit Boon guide.
