What's on the dark side of the moon? A giant bat, I guess

It looks like the world is ending, because cosmic beauties Lunala and Solgaleo are headed straight to Earth! Don’t miss out! From Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 10 AM to Monday, November 28, 2022, at 8 PM local time, Pokemon Go will be hosting the Astral Eclipse event. During this event, trainers will have a chance to complete the Special Research story A Cosmic Companion to obtain Cosmoem… and with enough Cosmog Candy you can evolve it into either the emissary of the Sun or Moon. But who to choose?

Should you Choose Lunala or Solgaleo in Pokemon Go? – Answered

At the time of writing this, you can only choose one evolution for Cosmoem, so of course, you’ll want to choose your astral legendary wisely. Though it’s possible that Cosmog might be available in future events.

In terms of actual stats, Lunala and Solgaleo are almost identical. They stand side-by-side when it comes to combatting raids and gyms, with neither taking the lead. It’s that attention to detail I can really get behind, as both Lunala and Solgaleo should be in balance.

But to help you decide on who to pick, consider Typing. Lunala is a Psychic and Ghost Type, whereas Solgaleo is Psychic and Steel Type.

The second thing to consider is aesthetics. Which Pokemon appeals to you more? Is it the brilliant white of the Beast That Devours The Sun? The dark veil of the Beast That Calls The Moon? Personally, I can resist the vampiric allure that Lunala exudes.
