RoadCraft is now available on PC and consoles, marking the latest off-roading entry from Saber Interactive following Expeditions. This time, the developers have embraced a construction theme, and as always, you don’t have to go it alone thanks to cooperative multiplayer support.

While the multiplayer is a welcome feature, does RoadCraft support crossplay between PC and consoles? What about cross-progression? Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s online capabilities.

Does RoadCraft Have Crossplay Support?

Yes, RoadCraft has crossplay support across all platforms, whether you’re on PC, Xbox Series S|X, or the PS5.

This allows you to access the game’s content in co-op, and it works quite seamlessly. For crossplay, the host and joining player(s) pick the save file they want to use for the particular co-op session.

This allows joining players to bring their vehicles to the host’s world, and everyone can play with all the vehicles on the map. At the end of the co-op session, the joining players will have to choose to keep their original save or to copy the map progression of the host into their save.

Additionally, you can also control your friend’s vehicle if they aren’t currently driving it.

Does RoadCraft Have Cross-Progression Support?

No, RoadCraft does not have any form of cross-progression support. The developers confirmed this in the official FAQ, stating that the save files are far too large to move around different consoles, even with the optional PROS account.

It’s possible that the developers might give this option in a future update, but for now, this is not supported.

Can You Disable Crossplay in RoadCraft?

Yes, if you only want to play with players from your platform space, then you can disable crossplay directly from the settings. It’s the first option in the “Games” tab of settings.

You can’t disable this while you’re currently in a multiplayer session.

Does RoadCraft Require an Internet Connection?

No, while the multiplayer features are excellent, you don’t need an internet connection to enjoy RoadCraft in solo mode after it has been downloaded.

Keep in mind that you should keep the game updated to the latest version to make use of all the bug fixes, new features, and potential performance improvements.

RoadCraft is an enjoyable experience in both solo and multiplayer modes. I’m glad that crossplay is available from day one, and there are no restrictions that keep you from building roads together with your friends.

When he isn't spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he's probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
