Jarod, sitting a few meters behind her and listening to the confession, learns that Sonya regrets not being able to save Lola. Initially planning to avenge Lola by killing Sonya, he lowers his pistol after hearing her heartfelt remorse. Jarod decides to spare her life and holsters his weapon.
