Achievement/Trophy Notes

Difficulty: 4/10

Time to 100%: 4-6 hours

Total Trophies/Achievements: 7

Missable Trophies/Achievements: 3 (Serene Teen, Supreme Teen, Craftsmaster)

Step One: Play The Mercenaries Additional Orders

For the first step of the Winters’ Expansion, you should play the Additional Orders DLC, which introduces two new stages of The Mercenaries through introducing The Bloody Village and The Bloody River. You will need to have earned an “A” Rank in each of the Resident Evil Village base game stages on normal difficulty in order to unlock the Additional Orders DLC maps. For more information, look at the trophy list and descriptions below.

Step Two: Play Shadows of Rose on either Standard or Hardcore Difficulty

The story mode of The Winters’ Expansion is the Shadows of Rose DLC, a short campaign that features three difficulty options and runs approximately two to four hours long depending on if you skip cutscenes or get stuck in a certain section. If you want to get to 100% as quickly as possible, I would suggest starting on Hardcore difficulty. However, if you’d like to just experience the story and get a practice run prior to a Hardcore playthrough, you will be best served playing on Standard. You will receive most of the Winters’ Expansion achievements during this step. Do your best to find as many crafting materials in Castle Dimitrescu as possible and make ample use of the typewriters for backup saves.

Step Three (Optional): Play Shadows of Rose on Hardcore Difficulty

If you didn’t play on Hardcore difficulty during your first run of Shadows of Rose, now is the time to experience Rose’s mind-bending adventure on the most challenging difficulty setting.

Step Four: Cleanup

If you didn’t achieve the Craftsmaster trophy yet, reload a save, or start a new playthrough to craft all of the items in Shadows of Rose. Once you have completed this achievement, you will have 100% of the achievements in The Winters’ Expansion. Congratulations!

To find the exact solutions for each achievement, consult the list below:

Resident Evil Village The Winters’ Expansion Trophies and Achievements

Green Teen (Bronze Trophy on PlayStation / 20 Gamerscore on Xbox)

  • Finish Shadows of Rose on at least Casual difficulty.

This trophy is earned by finishing Shadows of Rose on the easiest difficulty setting. It is stackable with the Serene Teen and Supreme Teen achievements by completing the game on Standard or Hardcore difficulty respectively.

Serene Teen (Silver Trophy on PlayStation / 40 Gamerscore on Xbox) – Missable

  • Finish Shadows of Rose on at least Standard difficulty.

This achievement is earned by finishing Shadows of Rose on the Standard difficulty setting. It is stackable with the Supreme Teen trophy by completing the game on Hardcore difficulty. Make sure not to decrease the difficulty during the Shadows of Rose DLC, or you will have to start over on a new save file to obtain this achievement.

Supreme Teen (Gold Trophy on PlayStation / 50 Gamerscore on Xbox) – Missable

  • Finish Shadows of Rose on Hardcore difficulty.

This achievement is earned by finishing Shadows of Rose on the hardest difficulty setting, Hardcore. Make sure not to decrease the difficulty during the Shadows of Rose DLC, or you will have to start over on a new save file to obtain this trophy.

It’s Starting to Grow on Me (Bronze Trophy on PlayStation / 20 Gamerscore on Xbox)

  • Use Rose’s mutamycete powers at least 20 times.

You will earn this achievement through natural story progression in the Shadows of Rose story mode. It will likely be the first trophy you earn in the Shadows of Rose DLC. Simply use Rose’s powers to unlock blocked paths or to battle mold enemies, and you will earn the achievement in no time.

Craftsmaster (Bronze Trophy on PlayStation / 20 Gamerscore on Xbox)

  • Craft every type of item in Shadows of Rose.

There are four craftable items in Shadows of Rose, they are as follows:

First Aid Med – requires Herb (x1) and Chem Fluid (x1)

Handgun Ammo – requires Chem Fluid (x1) and Gunpowder (x1)

Shotgun Ammo – requires Gunpowder (x1) and Rusted Scrap (x1)

Pipe Bomb – requires Rusted Scrap (x1), Gunpowder (x1), and Herb (x1)

This achievement is cumulative, so if you happen to miss out on crafting an item, simply reload a save, or craft the missing item on a different run of Shadows of Rose. Make sure to thoroughly explore Castle Dimitrescu to find all of the necessary crafting items, diversify the items you create, stockpile some items for later, and the achievement will easily be yours.

Village of Blood (Bronze Trophy on PlayStation / 20 Gamerscore on Xbox)

  • Complete the Bloody Village in Additional Orders.

To complete The Bloody Village in The Mercenaries Additional Orders, you must simply make it to the end of the stage’s three areas without dying, while killing the required number of enemies needed to escape without the clock running out. In order to unlock The Bloody Village you must have obtained at least an “A Rank” in The Village, The Castle, The Factory, and The Mad Village normal stages. Once you have completed The Bloody Village and received a score and rank, the achievement will pop.

In order to unlock The Bloody River you must have obtained at least an “A Rank” in The Bloody Village stage on normal difficulty. Once you have completed The Bloody River and received a score and rank, the trophy will pop.
