Red Dead Online – How to Fix Error Code 0x20010006

Getting Error Code 0x20010006 when playing Red Dead Online? Here’s what you need to know.

Red Dead Online is finally here for Ultimate Edition owners, and others will gain access to the online portion of Red Dead Redemption 2 before the week is over. If you’re diving into the game today, then chances are you might have run into a few errors along the way, most notably so far is error code 0x20010006. But what does this code mean and how do you fix it?

How to Fix Error Code 0x20010006

If you’re getting error code 0x20010006, don’t worry, you aren’t alone. We’ve encountered this error quite a few times ourselves, especially while completing missions in Red Dead Online. While it can be a bit inconvenient—especially if it happens halfway through a mission—fixing the problem is pretty easy. All you really need to do to fix error code 0x20010006 is reconnect to the session. This can be done by pressing Circle after you see the error screen with the code. Pressing Circle will exit the screen and reconnect you to Red Dead Online, allowing you to dive right back into the action.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any concrete details on what exactly error code 0x20010006 entails, however, based on the numerous ways that we’ve received the code, and that it always says we’ve been disconnected from the Red Dead Online servers for a fault in Rockstar’s services, we can only assume that it has something to do with your overall connection to the services.
