How to Locate the Vlad Crossbow

Locating the crossbow is one of the easiest things you have to do in this DLC. The cabinet for this special weapon can be found inside of the main cabin, where you start the level off at. Look for a gun cabinet that has several chains stretched across it.

Once you’ve located the cabinet, all that is left to do is figure out how to unlock itand get your hands on this shiny Wonder Weapon.

How to Unlock the Vlad Crossbow

Unlocking the Crossbow is almost as easy as locating the cabinet that contains them. Before you can do it, though, you must first learn how to build the boat. If you don’t quite know how to do that, don’t sweat it. Just click the link above and you’ll be taken to our handy guide which will walk you through the entire process.

Once you’ve built the boat and traveled to the island, you’re going to come across a small cabin when Kevin Smith’s character is holed up. There’s a bathroom in the cabin, which contains a bucket full of sausages.

With the sausages in tow, it is time to acquire a small pouch that can only be dropped from zombies around the level. This might take a few minutes to acquire, but once you have it, head over to nearest fireplace and activate the level’s rave mode. We suggest starting at the fireplace in the main spawn area, as it is right next to another one of the requirements you need to hit.

After activating rave mode, you’re going to have to throw the sausages that you found in Kevin’s cabin at three deer head trophies around the level. The first one is found on the wall inside the main cabin. When you throw a sausage at it, the trophy will activate and fly off the wall. Shoot it to destroy it. A small ritual symbol will appear in the air, which you’ll need to activate by moving close to it and holding Square on the Dual Shock 4 controller.

The next deer head trophy can be found in the mess hall, hanging next to one of the doors. Throw one of the sausages at the head and then shoot it to destroy it and claim the ritual symbol.

Now it is time to find and destroy the find deer head trophy. To do this, make your way over to Camp Owl and locate the second window barrier. Look inside the cabin at this barrier to locate the final deer head trophy on the wall. Throw the sausage at it and then shoot it and grab the symbol.

Now that you have all three of the symbols, you can return to the main cabin and unlock the cabinet holding the Vlad Crossbow Wonder Weapon. Now that you know how to get your hands on this Wonder Weapon, head back over to our Rave in the Redwoods guide for more content like this.
