Predator Hunting Grounds Crossplay, How to Invite Friends

Here's how to kill friends and invite people, by bringing cross-platform buddies over to your game of Hunting Grounds.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

In Predator: Hunting Grounds, Illfonic’s follow-up to its cult success Friday the 13th, you can play with and against both PlayStation 4 and PC owners via its crossplay feature. It’s just not immediately obvious how.

Here’s how to invite your cross-platform friends to your Hunting Grounds.

Predator Hunting Grounds Crossplay, How to Invite Friends

At time of writing, Predator: Hunting Grounds is a console exclusive on the PlayStation 4, and a PC exclusive on the Epic Games Store. Players on one platform can invite and team up with people on the other by default, as crossplay is automatically enabled for all players when they first start up the game. If you’d like to disable that, you can do so with a toggle that’s located in the General section of your menu.

By default, while you’re on the matchmaking screen, either click Create Party or press Triangle to put a team together. (Illfonic has an unlisted video tutorial for the feature that’s available here.) You’ll be able to select teammates from your friendslist and invite them into the game. No muss, no fuss.

However, if you have friends on one platform when you’re on the other, it can be difficult to figure out how to invite them to your game. A crossplay party function wasn’t available in the Predator beta test, and has only been added since the game’s launch.

The trick is that you have to have an account on both the PlayStation Network and the Epic Games Store, and those accounts have to be linked. You can do that by visiting the Epic Games Store’s website, logging out if necessary, and then clicking on the PlayStation logo on the top of the login screen. See below:

Helpfully, it looks like the Epic Games logo is pointing right at it, but if you’ve never had the occasion to link your PSN and Epic accounts before, you might never have noticed that the option is there. It’s like the arrow in the FedEx logo.

Sign into your PSN account from there, then link it to your Epic account. It may take some time for everything to get linked up, but from that point forward, you should be able to see your friends on one service when you’re logged into the other.

From there, just invite your cross-platform buddies via the Create Party button as you normally would.
