Pokemon GO Wyrdeer Raid Day Event Details

It’s the end of the year, and everything is winding down in preparation for Christmas. Except for Pokemon GO, of course. As usual, it’s filled with events, and Wyrdeer Raid Day is squished in between its holiday festivities. But it’s worthwhile doing, and so here is everything that you need to know to participate.

Event Date and Time

The Pokemon GO Wyrdeer Raid Day will be on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.

Debut Pokemon

This will be Wyrdeer’s debut in Pokemon GO. For those unaware, Wyrdeer was introduced in Generations VIII’s Pokemon Legends: Arceus. An exciting and much needed Pokemon to give Stantler some much needed love and attention.

On top of this, Wyrdeer will be released alongside the shiny version! So, if you’re lucky you may encounter the slightly lime-tinged version. Which somehow makes it seem even more festive.

Event Bonuses

The following bonuses will be active for the duration of Wyrdeer’s Raid Day.

  • Trainers will have a higher chance of encountering Wyrdeer in a Raid.
  • Trainers will have a higher chance of encountering a shiny Wyrdeer.
  • During the event, and the two hours following, trainers will be able to receive an extra five Raid Passes when spinning Gyms.
  • Trainers will be able to participate in a boosted maximum of ten Remote Raids.

Winter Wonderland Event Bonuses

The following Winter Wonderland event bonuses will be active from Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM to Sunday, December 24, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.

  • Trainers can make five Special Trades in a day.
  • Trainers will use 50% less Stardust when trading Pokemon.
  • Trainers will receive 2X XP for winning a Raid.

Collection Challenge

During the Wyrdeer Raid Day, there will be two Collection Challenges for trainers to complete.

The first Collection Challenge focuses on both catching and evolving certain Pokemon to complete the designated list. In doing so, trainers will be rewarded with a Wyrdeer encounter and another potential shiny chance. On top of this, there will be other rewards too!

The second Collection Challenge focuses on trading Pokemon with other players. Completing this Collection Challenge will give the trainer an encounter with a Psyduck wearing holiday attire, as well as additional rewards.

PokeStop Showcases

During Wrydeer Raid Day, there will be PokeStop Showcases in which trainers will be able to enter their holiday-themed Pokemon, to hopefully become number one.

The weather may be cooling down but Pokemon GO just continues to heat up with its multiple events all month long. One of the most exciting events of the year is the December Community Day which brings back all of the Pokemon from both 2023 and 2022 for trainers to catch once again!
