A month full of shinies.

February Spotlight Hours

February is always a pretty significant month in Pokemon GO, and just like every other month, Niantic has released a full infographic of planned events. Trainers can find upcoming raids, major events like the Hoenn Tour, and of course, the next set of Spotlight Hours for February 2023.

Each lineup of spotlight features tends to match the theme of the month, especially with week-long events. The batch for February seems like an odd mix so far, but at the very least, there are plenty of shiny opportunities. Our guide will outline each Spotlight Hour and all the information for each day.

February 2023 Pokemon GO Spotlight Hours

As the shortest month of the year, Trainers shouldn’t expect the five different Spotlight Hours that appear sometimes, like January. There will be four Tuesday events this month and the time will still remain the same, so no changes in that regard. Head below for the full schedule.

February 2023 Spotlight Hours:

  • Pidgey: February 7 from 6 pm local time to 7 pm local time – 2x XP for evolving Pokemon (Can be Shiny)
  • Woobat: February 14 from 6 pm local time to 7 pm local time – 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon (Can be Shiny)
  • Jigglypuff: February 21 from 6 pm local time to 7 pm local time – 2x XP for catching Pokemon (Can be Shiny)
  • Slakoth: February 28 from 6 pm local time to 7 pm local time – 2x Candy for catching Pokemon (Can be Shiny)

One of the most popular aspects of the Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO is the chance to catch a new shiny and add it to your collection. With so many spawns in that hour, it’s a weekly opportunity for a rare catch. This month, every single week will have a Pokemon with a shiny variation in the spotlight, so enjoy, and good luck with your hours.
