The Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day will take place on Sunday, June 9 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM (local time).

Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day Featured Pokemon: Goomy

The Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day’s featured Pokemon is Goomy. This cute Dragon-type Pokemon will appear frequently in the wild, and will have a higher chance than usual to be shiny.

Goomy can evolve into Sliggoo, and Sliggoo can evolve into Goodra. Check out the table below to see all the requirements for evolving these Pokemon so you can access the June 2024 Community Day featured attack.

Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day Featured Attack

Pokemon GO’s June 2024 Community Day’s featured attack is Thunder Punch. If you evolve Sliggoo (Goomy’s evolution) during the hours of the Community Day event or up to five (5) hours afterwards, until 10:00 PM (local time), the resulting Goodra will know the Charged Attack Thunder Punch. The Sliggoo you evolve into Goodra can be obtained from any time during or prior to the Community Day event.

If you’re interested in having a Goodra that knows Thunder Punch, be sure to catch plenty of Goomy using Pinap Berries during Community Day to stock up on Goomy Candy, and make sure you have a Rainy Lure Module ready to evolve Sliggoo in case it isn’t raining.

Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day Bonuses

The following bonuses will be active during the hours of the June 2024 Community Day in Pokemon GO:

• Double (2x) Candy for catching Pokemon.
• Triple (3x) Stardust for catching Pokemon.
• Lure Modules will last for three (3) hours instead of 30 minutes.
• Incense (not Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three (3) hours instead of one (1) hour.
• Up to five (5) Goomy will appear in photobombs.
• Trainers level 31 and higher have a double (2x) chance to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.

The following bonuses will be active during June 2024 Community and up to five (5) hours afterwards, until 10:00 PM local time:

• You can make one (1) additional Special Trade, for a daily maximum of three (3).
• Trades require half (50% less) Stardust.

Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day Special Research Story

You can buy or gift a Pokemon GO Goomy Community Day Special Research story for US$1 or the equivalent pricing in your local currency. If you want to gift this Special Research story, you must be Great Friends or higher with the intended recipient first.

Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day Timed Research

There will be Timed Research available from the start of the June 2024 Community day until 10:00 PM (local time). Complete this Timed Research to get one (1) Rainy Lure Module, which can be used for (among other things) evolving Sliggoo into Goodra.

Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day Field Research

You can obtain event-themed Field Research by spinning the Photo Discs at PokeStops during the Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day. Some of the rewards for completing the event Field Research tasks will include:

• Stardust,
• Great Balls,
• and encounters with Goomy.

Pokemon GO June 2024 Community Day Bonus Raids

From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM (local time), for five (5) hours after Goomy Community Day ends, you’ll be able to challenge Sliggoo in four-star raids. These raids can only be joined locally using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes.

If you’re victorious in one of these raids, wild Goomy will appear around the hosting Gym. These Goomy have the same increased chance of being shiny as the ones found in the wild during the Community Day event proper.

Of course, there will be PokeStop Showcases for Goomy Community Day. Keep an eye out for PokeStops with Showcases where you can show off your Goomy.
