Niantic has announced the latest Pokemon GO event Blaze New Trails. This event in particular has many members of the Pokemon GO community excited due to the introduction of a brand-new feature, as well as a new legendary Pokemon. Niantic has sure packed a lot to do during the Blaze New Trails event in a short period of time!

Event Date and Time

The latest Pokemon GO event, Blaze New Trails, will be held from Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM to Monday, July 24, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.

Explore With the New Routes Feature

Pokemon GO is releasing a new feature during the event called Routes. Routes allow a player to follow along a created route, noting significant landmarks and other interesting sightings. Players will have a chance to find Pokemon which are region exclusive to their location, as well as Zygarde Cells. In the future, players will be able to construct their own Routes for other players to explore.

New Pokemon

During the event, Zygarde will make its Pokemon GO debut. You will be able to collect Zygarde Cells as you interact with the Routes feature. More information will be provided with the special research ‘From A to Zygarde‘. For now, Zygarde will only be obtainable in 10% Zygarde form.

The following special research will become available during the event. The research is not time-limited and will be able to be completed after the end of the event.

  • From A to Zygarde

The Blaze New Trails event does not last long but the Routes feature and Zygarde Cell collection are permanent additions to the game and you will be able to continue to collect Zygarde Cells long after the event itself ends.
