Pokemon GO April 2024 Community Day Features Bellsprout: Event Date and Time, Bonuses, and More

Get ready to catch Pokemon #69 on 4/20

The Flower Pokemon Bellsprout will be the focus of the upcoming Pokemon GO Community Day for April 2024.

Pokemon GO April 2024 Community Day Date and Time

The Bellsprout Community Day event will take place on April 20 starting at 2:00 PM and ending at 5:00 PM local time.

April 2024 Community Featured Pokemon and Featured Attack

April 2024’s Community Day features Bellsprout, a dual Grass- and Poison-type Pokemon. It will be found more commonly in the wild during the event, and it’s possible to find one that’s shiny. Bellsprout found in the wild during the event have a higher chance than usual to be shiny.

How to evolve Bellsprout and Weepinbell in Pokemon GO

You can evolve Bellsprout into Weepinbell by using 25 Bellsprout Candy on it. If you evolve Weepinbell into Vicreebel (by using 100 Bellsprout Candy) at any time on April 20 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time (up to five hours after the Community Day event has ended) it will know the fast attack Magical Leaf. Use as many Pinap Berries as you can during Bellsprout Community Day to make sure you have enough Bellsprout Candy to evolve it and power it up afterwards.

April 2024 Community Day Event Bonuses

The following bonuses will be in effect for the duration of the April 2024 Community Day event:

  • Get tripe (3x) Stardust for catching Pokemon.
  • Get double (2x) Candy for catching Pokemon.
  • Lure Modules activated will last for three (3) hours instead of the usual 30 minutes.
  • Incense activated will last for three (3) hours instead of the usual one (1) hour. (Note: Daily Adventure Incense is excluded from this bonus).
  • Bellsprout will appear in up to five (5) photobombs.
  • Trainers level 31 and higher have double (2x) the chance to get Candy XL from catching Pokemon.

The following bonuses will be in effect from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time on Community Day:

  • You can make an extra Special Trade for a daily maximum of two (2).
  • Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

April 2024 Community Day Field Research

During Community Day, Field Research centering around catching Bellsprout will be available. Some of the Field Research rewards for catching Bellsprout will include:

  • Stardust,
  • Great Balls,
  • and encounters with Bellsprout.

Post-Community Day Special Raids

After Community Day ends, special four-star raid battles will appear from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time. The raid Pokemon will be Weepinbell, Bellsprout’s first evolution.

If you defeat one of these raids, Bellsprout will appear around the host Gym for 30 minutes. These Bellsprout have the same increased chance of being shiny as the Bellsprout that appear in the wild during the April Community Day event proper.

Note that you can only join four-star raids locally using Raid Passes or Premium Battle passes. You can’t use Remote Raid Passes to join these raid battles from a distance.

April 2024 Community Day PokeStop Showcases

There will also be PokeStop Showcases during the event where you can show off your cool new Bellsprout!

April 2024 Community Day Special Research Story

You can access a Bellsprout Community Day-exclusive Special Research Story by buying a ticket for US$1 or the equivalent pricing in your local currency. You can also gift the story ticket to an in-game friend if your Friendship level with them is Great Friends or higher.

April 2024 Community Day In-Game Shop Bundles

There will be two event bundles available in the in-game shop during Bellsprout Community Day. The event bundles will contain:

April 2024 Community Day Web Store Bundle

You can purchase an Ultra Community Day Box from the Pokemon GO Web Store during Bellsprout Community Day for US$4.99. The Ultra Community Day Box contains:

  • 10 Ultra Balls,
  • One (1) Elite Charged TM,
  • and a Special Research Story ticket.

If you pick up one of these boxes for yourself, you won’t need to buy the Special Research Story ticket from the in-game store.

Bellsprout Stickers

Last but certainly not least, there will be Bellsprout Stickers available in the in-game store. You can also obtain these cute stickers randomly by spinning PokeStops and by opening Gifts.

Before you can catch Pokemon number 69, the Grass-type Bellsprout, on 4/20 and evolve it to learn Magical Leaf, there will be a Mega Heracross Raid Day event and the Bug Out event to prepare for.
