Play Code Vein 2 Before Release – Pre-Order Bonuses & Edition Guide

Not in vein!

Code Vein 2 got a brand new trailer during PlayStation’s recent State of Play, confirming its release date for early next year. The sequel to the soulslike from Bandai Namco is coming to current-generation consoles as well as PC, with pre-orders finally live across all storefronts.

Like plenty of other modern big releases, Code Vein 2 also offers advanced access, and here is how you can play a few days early if you’re eager to jump in ahead of everyone else.

Play Code Vein 2 Three Days Early

You can play Code Vein 2 three days before its official release, starting January 27, 2025, if you pre-order the Deluxe, Ultimate, or Collector’s Edition.

Apart from the regular $70 standard edition, every other version of the game offers advanced access, and you’ll be able to jump into the action RPG by spending a bit extra. At minimum, you need to spend at least $90 for the Deluxe edition if you want to play early, so that’s an additional $20 over the standard edition.

Code Vein 2 Pre-Order Bonus

If you pre-order any edition of Code Vein 2, you will receive the Stylized Forma Set, which includes the following items:

  • Twin Fangs of the Lone Wolf (Weapon)
  • Forma Face Pain

Code Vein 2 Release Date

Code Vein 2 is coming to PC, Xbox Series S|X, and the PS5 on January 30, 2025, if you purchase the standard edition.

While you can technically play Code Vein 2 a few days early, if that’s the only reason you’re considering spending a bit more, I’d wait instead. As I mentioned, you need to pay at least $20 extra to play the game three days early. If you’re interested in the other content included in these deluxe editions, then it’s not that bad, but this isn’t exactly a narrative-heavy game where spoilers would ruin the experience.
