Paralives is out now in early access on Steam, launching with several key features already in place for players to experiment and mess around with. The title is currently available on PC only, and if you’re looking for your local progress data, here is the save file location for Paralives.

You can find individual save files within the MySavedGames.mod folder, but I recommend backing up the entire Paralives folder in LocalLow for easier use in the future. Keep in mind that this is an early access title, and major updates could potentially make older saves incompatible, so it’s probably best to back up recent saves instead of relying on very old ones as backup.

There is also a MySavedGames folder in the installation folder of Paralives, but it doesn’t include any save data.

Can You Create Multiple Profiles in Paralives?

Yes, you can have multiple unique profiles in Paralives, each with its own separate progress and characters. You can also delete any profile you don’t need anymore.

Does Paralives support Steam Cloud?

Currently, Paralives does not have support for Steam Cloud.

This is why it’s important to know where you save files are at any given point. I really hope that the developers consider adding this feature because losing your save files, especially if you haven’t backed them up, means starting from scratch and potentially losing all your profiles.

Paralives Steam Features

Currently, Paralives has the following Steam-specific features in its early access launch:

  • Family Share: Members of your Steam family can now access Paralives as well.
  • Steam Workshop: Paralives fully supports Steam Workshop at launch, allowing you to easily download user-created mods.

Paralives doesn’t have controller support in its current release, but you can use Steam Input to map the keys for some kind of experience, though it isn’t ideal.

Overall, while Paralives certainly seems like a fun time, performance issues and bugs are certainly making it a bit hard to enjoy that experience. Additionally, a lack of cloud saves for a modern release, especially one where you’ll likely spend a lot of time in a personalized profile, isn’t ideal.
