Overwatch 2 has had quite a tumultuous launch, from server problems plaguing the player base to heroes like Bastion being removed from the game for weeks. Now, another fan-favorite hero is taking a little siesta: Mei. So when does Mei return to Overwatch 2? We have the answer for you below.

Overwatch 2: When Does Mei Return to the Game?

So, if you’ve logged into Overwatch 2 recently, you’ll notice that our ice queen Mei is no longer available on the hero select screen. “We are temporarily disabling Mei to address a bug with her Ice Wall ability that allows heroes to reach unintended locations. We are working to address these issues as quickly as possible and aim to bring Mei back in our next upcoming patch which is set for November 15.”

So yes, Mei will not return until November 15, 2022. This is roughly two weeks from the time of writing this. So if you’re a Mei main, it’s time to learn literally any other character and stop being an absolute menace to your teammates.
