Nine Sols Save File Location on PC

All your save slots safe and sound!

Nine Sols is out now on PC and has support for cloud saves through Steam Cloud. It also has multiple save slots, but if you don’t have the most reliable internet connection, you might want to back up your local progress manually. To do so, here is the Nine Sols save file location.

Nine Sols Save File Location

The save files for Nine Sols are available in the following location on PC.

C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\RedCandleGames\NineSols

The NineSols folder contains folders for each save slot. For instance, the first slot is labeled as saveslot0. We recommend that you copy the entire save slot folder to back up your progress.

Faster Navigation

To quickly navigate to the same location, you can use Windows Run. You can bring up Run by pressing the Windows and R keys together.

Enter the following address, which will take you directly to your save files.

%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/RedCandleGames/NineSols

Additionally, we highly recommend that you leave Steam Cloud enabled for Nine Sols. There is no reason to disable it. The entire saves folder is less than 7 MB in size, which shouldn’t require much to keep stored online.

  • Open Steam, and navigate to your library
  • Here, right-click on Nine Sols and select Properties
  • In the General tab, make sure the toggle under STEAM CLOUD is on

Nine Sols also runs great on the Steam Deck, and if you’re playing the game on both systems, Steam Cloud will ensure that progress is saved between both devices.

The developers have already confirmed console ports for the release, and we’ll hear about them soon along with other updates planned for Nine Sols.

If you’re having trouble mastering its parry system, we recommend checking out our guide on it. For more tips, make sure to check out the dedicated section for Nine Sols.
