SEGA Genesis Mini Adds 10 New Games To Its Lineup

10 'new' SEGA classics have been added to the Mini's library.

The SEGA Genesis mini system is only a few months away from release and hopes to encapsulate the nostalgia that Nintendo so perfectly capitalized on with their NES and SNES Classic systems. Previously, the SEGA throwback was revealed to launch with 40 classic games, though the company has limited which titles they revealed ahead of launch.

Prior to SEGA’s most recent announcement, below were the 20 titles already confirmed for the SEGA Genesis Mini:

  • Altered Beast
  • Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
  • Castlevania: Bloodlines
  • Comix Zone
  • Contra: Hard Corps
  • Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
  • Earthworm Jim
  • Ecco the Dolphin
  • Gunstar Heroes
  • Landstalker
  • Shining Force
  • Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master
  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • Space Harrier 2
  • Streets of Rage 2
  • Super Fantasy Zone
  • Thunder Force 3
  • ToeJam & Earl
  • World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck

Now 10 more have been added to the list, which can be seen below:

  • Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
  • Beyond Oasis
  • Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  • Golden Axe
  • Mega Man: The Wily Wars
  • Phantasy Star 4: The End of the Millennium
  • Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
  • Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition
  • Vectorman
  • Wonder Boy in Monster World

Personally, you can’t go wrong with the classic Ghouls ‘n Ghosts title, though Mega Man and Sonic also make great additions as well. The above list makes 30 out of 40 games revealed, meaning 10 more are still left in the dark until the system itself launches sometime in June.

Thanks, Polygon
