New Polar Patriots Warbond in Helldivers 2

The newest premium warbond arrives on May 9, 2024, and features a lot of snowy camouflage in theme with the icy worlds within Helldivers 2. The warbond adds three new weapons, three utilities, and a bunch of other neat cosmetics for players to obtain. Here’s a quick guide on everything inside Polar Patriots.

  • Armor (CW-36 Winter Warrior) – “Blend into snowy environments with perfect camouflage. The enemy will never see you coming, until it’s far too late. Ah the sweet smell of stealth.” This armor takes on a complete white look with yellow trimmings under the breastplate and between the leggings and has an almost similar look to cold assault stormtroopers from Star Wars.
  • Armor (CW-22 Kodiak) – “Thoroughly pressure-tested by patriotic volunteers as part of the Test Subjects for Super Earth Citizen Advancement Programme. Their sacrifice shall not be forgotten.” This armor features a more metallic, white look with beige accents along the entire suit.
  • Armor (CW-4 Arctic Ranger) – “Features a nifty utility belt boasting handy pockets that can be filled with any number of things – pocket knives, mementos, interesting rocks, Terminid tentacles, bits of bots, etc.” This armor looks completely different compared to the other two suits, with it taking on a vivid blue color and bright yellow trimmings.
  • Weapon (AR-61 Tenderizer) – “A real tentacle-tearer. This high caliber assault rifle has awesome stopping power but limited magazine size, so make each shot count.” This weapon seems like a strong assault rifle, possibly with a burst fire function. It also looks like the Battle Rifle from the Halo franchise.
  • Weapon (SMG-72 Pummeler) – “A slower rate of fire than your other SMGs but these concussive rounds will leave your enemies dazed, confused, and still very ugly. Good things come to Helldivers who wait.” Seems like a regular SMG with concussive rounds, that’s all.
  • Weapon (PLAS-101 Purifier) – “Set the trap. Hold the trigger. Let them charge at you. Smile. They’re getting closer. Smile again. Closer. Smile. Closer. Smile. Closer… and release the trigger. S.P.L.A.T. The longer you can hold your nerve, and the trigger, the bigger the damage.” This weapon looks like a shotgun, but it seems like it uses electricity as rounds.
  • Utility (G-13 Incendiary Impact) – This utility seems to be an incendiary grenade that turns whatever it lands on into ash.
  • Utility (P-113 Verdict) – This secondary weapon is a semi-automatic, gas-operated pistol.
  • Utility (Motivational Shocks) – This utility seems to provide a boost to players after they get hit by an attack.
  • Capes – The latest premium warbond comes with three different capes that match the outfits of all three armor sets.
  • Banners – Like the capes, the premium warbond comes with three different banners that match the outfits of all three armor sets.
  • Emotes – There are three different emotes. The first one seems to be an action where the Helldiver calls someone. The second one seems to be an action where the Helldiver spreads imaginary cash all over the floor. And the third one seems to be an action where the Helldiver plays the air guitar.

And that’s everything you need to know about the new premium warbond coming to Helldivers 2 on May 9, 2024. For more information, feel free to read the official PlayStation blog post.
