How to Find Vespoids

You can easily find Vespoids in the Ancient Forest. This is the first area that you explore in Monster Hunter: World, and the creature that you are looking for is a dragonfly-like insect. We’d suggest heading to a few specific places on the map—like Areas 6, 11, and 13. These areas are known to have a very high population of the creature, and you’ll often find them here easily.

Honestly, we’d suggest hanging around Area 6, as it’s the most likely place to find this insect in Monster Hunter: World. You will want to be very careful around here, though, as the area is patrolled by some very tough monsters like the Pukei-Pukei and the Anjanath.

If for some reason you have trouble finding these creatures around the area, then try looking around in the other areas that we mentioned, as they should be around. The environment here is perfect for Vespoids to spawn, and sometimes you’ll need to look around a little bit to really get your hands on them.

If Area 6 isn’t working out for you, head up to Area 11 or Area 13 to look for Vespoids. You’ll find them in at least one of these three places, and you should be able to recognize them pretty easily by looking for their small bodies and wide wingspreads. They are flying creatures, so you might need to look around a bit higher than you normally would to spot them flying around. We’d suggest climbing up vines or other structures to get up to the same height, and then you can try to take them down.
