How to Sign Up for the Marvel’s Avengers Beta

There are a couple of different ways to participate in the Marvel’s Avengers beta, but if you want to get to it as early as possible, you’ll need to have preordered the game on PS4. Next up, those who have preordered the game on Xbox One and PC will get access to the beta, and lastly, a full open beta will commence. In the list below, you’ll find all of the Marvel’s Avengers beta dates.

  • August 7: PlayStation preorder beta begins
  • August 14: PC and Xbox One preorder beta begins, PlayStation open beta begins
  • August 21: Open beta on all platforms

As you can see, the Marvel’s Avengers beta dates are a bit confusing and clearly offer an advantage to those on PlayStation. Not only will those who preorder the game on PS4 get access to the beta a week before everyone else, but the open beta period on PlayStation will also begin a week before it does for Xbox One and PC. This isn’t too surprising, as it’s not uncommon to see Sony snatch up early access to content, just take a look at some of the Modern Warfare exclusive content.

Crystal Dynamics has also announced a second War Table stream on July 29 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET, which will offer players some details on what they can expect from the beta. Further, speaking with IGN, Marvel’s Avengers Creative Director Shaun Escayg shared that the beta will give players a chance to try out pretty much everything the game has to offer. This will include content from the campaign, War and Drop Zones, co-op missions, hero progression, and more. So if you’re interested in learning more, be sure to mark your calendars.

The story of Marvel’s Avengers will begin at A-Day, a day dedicated to celebrating earth’s mightiest heroes and the official unveiling of the team’s San Francisco headquarters. However, after an attack during the ceremony, the Avengers are blamed for the destruction, and being a superhero becomes illegal, forcing the team to disband. However, five years later a young lady by the name of Kamala Khan uncovers an Avengers level threat and seeks to bring the team together once again to save  earth.
