Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle – How Long is it?

by Prima Games Staff

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle has arrived, bringing the humor and fun of the Rabbids world and Mario together on the Nintendo Switch. If you’re interesting in picking up the new tactical RPG from Ubisoft and Nintendo, then you’re probably wondering how long the game actually racks up to be. In this article we’ll discuss how many worlds there are, how long each world takes to complete, and how long you can expect to be playing Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle on your Nintendo Switch.

How Long is Mario + Rabbids?

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle might seem like the type of game that doesn’t have any legs beneath it, but if you think that—you’d be very far from the truth. While there are only a total of four worlds in the game, each world is made up of 9 different levels, including multiple battles, as well as two boss fights for each world.

Depending on the battle, you can sometimes take anywhere from 15-20 minutes just getting all those pesky evil Rabbids taken care of. Tack on the additional time that you’ll spend exploring, and you’re most likely looking at around four hours of so for each world. Then, of course, that isn’t even counting the secret levels that each world holds, which are only available after you beat the world and revisit it later on.

If you’re a collector, then you’re going to love Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, as it has an assortment of different collectibles that you can find strewn throughout the game. You can view all of these at the Museum, near Peach’s castle.

On average, we’d wager that many players will be able to complete the game in roughly 16 hours, which is more than enough time to keep you rolling in laughs and diving into tactical combat. Of course, like most tactical RPGs, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle does get more difficult as you progress, so you may even spend some additional time replaying through sections that you fail. Altogether, though, you’re looking at a pretty hefty experience for your Nintendo Switch.

The 16-20 hour markup that we’ve given also doesn’t include the secret levels, local co-op campaigns, or even replaying different levels for better ratings, which means if you’re the type of person who likes to 100% everything, you’re going to have plenty of time to look forward to from Ubisoft and Nintendo’s humorous mash-up. Of course, we’ll be filling out all the details in our Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle guide, where we’ll feature some of the most in-depth guides to help you as you strive to bring order back to the Mushroom Kingdom.
