As you make your way through the four worlds in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, you’re going to come across for mid-bosses that you’ll need to defeat to continue through the worlds. The first midboss that you come face to face with is a weird hybrid between a Rabbid and the Piranha plant, most affectionately called the Pirabbid. In this article we’ll teach you everything that you need to know to survive this encounter beat the Pirabbid boss in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, and make it out alive.
How to Beat the Pirabbid Boss
As stated above, the Pirabbid is the first mid-boss that you must defeat in the game. Found halfway through the game’s first world—Ancient Gardens—the Pirabbid plant boss is a bit of a nuisance if you don’t know the best ways to take him down. Thankfully, we’ve already gone through the trouble, and this guide will show you everything else that you need to know.
At the start of the fight, go ahead and focus on getting your party members up to the high ground. From here you’ll be able to fire down on the enemy, which will give you a much higher shot percentage, as you’ll have a better vantage point. Once on the platforms, take out the Rabbids currently residing on those platforms. For the purpose of this fight, be sure to make use of Rabbid Peach’s shield ability, as it will allow her to stay on the ground longer, where she can soak up damage from the boss while you deal with its minions.
Once the high ground is clear of minion Rabbids, be sure to focus your attention solely on Pirabbid, unless one of the minion Rabbids makes it up to high ground. It’s also vitally important that you activate all of your character techniques as they are available, especially Mario’s, as it will earn him an extra hit on the enemy during their turn.
We’d also highly suggest bringing the Bumblebee along for the fight, as its honey ability gives you a high chance of rooting your enemy, which can be useful for keeping the Pirabbid boss in place while your team gets to cover. From here, all you need to do is focus your attention on the boss and keep pelting it with your weapons as much as possible. If you need to, make your way down from the high ground, but we’d mostly suggest staying up on the platforms and letting the enemy come to you.
This fight isn’t easy, and it’s possible you’re going to lose a few before you win any. Just keep trying and you should get through the fight and make your way to success. Be sure to head back over to our Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle guide for more helpful articles on the subject.
