You’ll want a Magikarp that’s really special, as that will often give you bonuses like increased JP per training session, increase JP from eating, and even increased coins from winning league matches.

If you’re not happy with a Magikarp and its individual stats, throw it back. As we stated above, this will cost you a little bit, but it is definitely worth the investment if you want a Magikarp that is going to take you through an entire league without running into any kind of trouble.
