Helldivers 2 is a game that requires a fair bit of grinding to make decent progress on your ship and Stratagems, but what would you think if there was a way to glitch the number of samples you receive? Is this real, or is it all a myth?

As of the time of this writing, there is no way to glitch the number of Samples that you receive during a mission. If your time on a Terminid or Automaton planet comes to a close and you suddenly have hundreds of Samples, there’s a good chance that you were unfortunately paired up with a hacker. While some players would love the idea of having all of their ships unlocks available after completing just one mission, half of the fun of Helldivers 2 is getting down and dirty against the invading forces.

While Arrowhead Game Studios has been incredibly focused on ensuring that servers are working properly, they’re ready to move on with their original plan, according to the CEO of the Studio. While this could mean a plethora of different things, it could also mean that they’re planning on tightening up any of the Anti-Cheat measures that they have put into play rendering this “glitch” a thing of the past.

Can Your Account Get Banned For Receiving Hacked Samples in Helldivers 2?

Unless you were the one hacking the game to distribute this many Samples, it seems your account should be safe. There have been a fair number of reports on sites such as Reddit where people have received an abnormal number of samples, but their game was not affected by this situation. This is good news if you are on the receiving end of this cheat, as you will not need to worry about your account being banned due to the exploit.

While this may ruin the grind, there is a chance that the Helldivers 2 development team may remove these glitched samples in a future update, so spend them while you got them — or wait for them to remove them Democratically if you don’t want to spend anything you haven’t properly earned.
