Based on the SIG Sauer P226 E2 (a gun used by Navy SEALs), the Sentinel Nine is a custom handgun “designed for anti-bioterrorism” and was made as a real-life (airsoft) model by Tokyo Marui as a tie-in promotional product for Resident Evil 6. However, for some reason, it didn’t end up in the 2012’s game.

We only saw this gun in action in the Resident Evil Vendetta animated movie, where it finally ended up in Leon’s hands. The lack of this handgun in Resident Evil games has been corrected only now with Resident Evil 4 Remake where this firearm comes as a bonus with the Deluxe Edition.

In Resident Evil 4 Remake, Sentinel Nine has higher speed and ammo capacity compared to the default handgun you start the game with. If you have the Deluxe Edition of the game, you need to get to the first save point typewriter and look in the storage where you will find bonus additional weapons – including Sentinel Nine.

Overall, Sentinel Nine is not bad at the beginning of the game, during the first playthrough as a stronger alternative to the initial handgun, but as you progress through the game and acquire some stronger weapons and much better handguns with more promising upgrade possibilities, this gun stops being particularly useful.
