The wait’s definitely not over, but we finally have confirmation of the DLC expansion that is set to arrive in Elden Ring. No release date has been revealed yet. However, we know the DLC is called Shadow of the Erdtree, and many fans also believe that Miquella is the star of the show.

One image was released along with the official announcement of Shadow of the Erdtree for Elden Ring. This one image is packed with visuals and fans will surely be scanning it for the next few days. What’s most important, though, is the possible inclusion of Miquella.

Elden Ring – Is Miquella in Shadow of the Erdtree?

For those who don’t know or are hazy on the lore, the long blond-haired character on the promotion art could have some serious implications. Miquella is the twin brother of Malenia, one of the toughest bosses in the game and one of the most powerful demigods. While Malenia was cursed with Scarlet Rot, it was her twin brother that was cursed with never being able to age past a child.

In the art that was released for Shadow of the Erdtree, we see a character that matches the description of Miquella in the game. The flowing blonde hair, the age, and the appearance all seem to point to this demigod getting a spotlight in the upcoming DLC. We also see this character riding Torrent, which brings us to another important point.

In Elden Ring, Miquella is supposedly dead at the hands of Mohg, which can complicate the idea of the demigod showing up in DLC. Many fans believe that this could be a DLC that brings us back in time, and time is definitely nothing new in FromSoftware games. We’ll have to wait until we get our first official trailer for more. But for now, the odds are that Miquella will make an appearance in Shadow of the Erdtree.
