The upcoming launch of Stellar Blade aims for the last week of April, and fans have been eagerly waiting for it since its announcement while enjoying the free demo. However, the fun is restricted only to those who currently have access to a PlayStation 5. Is Stellar Blade a PlayStation 5 exclusive game?

Will Stellar Blade Be a PlayStation 5 Exclusive?

The answer to this question is a firm yes, Stellar Blade will be exclusive to PlayStation 5. Developers Shift Up were pretty definite about the accessibility of the game. While the studio isn’t a first-party PlayStation studio, it won’t be available on any other platforms like PC, Xbox, and the Nintendo Switch.

Moreover, the developers have also ditched the older generation consoles from their plans. While several PlayStation exclusives continue to get released on the PS4, Stellar Blade won’t be one of those. On April 26, it will be available worldwide only on Sony’s current generation consoles.

Of course, it also going to be available eventually for more advanced consoles like the PS5 Pro when it comes out in the future. As things stand, it seems highly unlikely that the game will ever get a port for the older generation PS4. With the start of 2024, several developers have started to ditch the older consoles to ensure that users of current generation consoles get the proper enjoyment.

Is Stellar Blade Coming to the PS Plus?

The revamped PS Plus subscription service has been a big hit with all PlayStation users. Plenty of first and third-party games are available on it, with fresh titles being added every month. However, Stellar Blade isn’t going to be available on it on launch. The only way for gamers to enjoy it will be to purchase from the PSN store (or get physical copies from retailers).

This could change in the future once the game has spent several months in circulation. So far, there hasn’t been any discussion between PlayStation and Shift Up regarding potentially adding their new title to the PS Plus catalog. Hence, readers are advised to refrain from any premature conclusion at this point.
