Can Deino be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

You’ll be pleased to know that yes, Shiny Deino is in Pokemon Go! It was first introduced in July 2020 during the Dragon Week event and comes from a distinctive line of Dark and Dragon Pokemon. It evolves into Zweilous and then Hydreigon.

However, since this guy is so hard to get, being one of the rarest Pokemon in the mobile title, you will even have a more challenging time finding its Shiny variant. Your best bet is to wait for it to feature in a weekly Spotlight Hour or a Community Day, with its last Community Day being in June 2022.

If you don’t want to wait or can’t find one in the wild, you can trade for one with a local player but bear in mind that if you don’t already have it in your Pokedex, the Stardust cost could be huge depending on your Buddy status with who you’re trading with.

Deino’s Shiny form changes its traditional blue color to green. The green is on its mouth and body, although its fur remains black. When it evolves into Hydreigon, that green on its body becomes more vibrant which only makes it even more sought after by Trainers.
