While it keeps Minecraft’s famous blocky, cartoonish style, the two differ vastly in gameplay, with Legends being an open-world action-strategy game. Is Minecraft Legends Multiplayer?
If you’re looking forward to playing Minecraft Legends with friends, there’s some good news. The game features online multiplayer capabilities for the campaign, allowing you to fight alongside others to defeat incoming enemies. Not only can you battle with other players, but you can even fight against others in competitive matches.
That’s right. Minecraft Legends also has PvP!

In PvP matches, you’ll be able to battle with three other players in a 4v4 game, sharing resources and creating defensive structures while fighting neutral monsters at the same time. You can ride mounts, collect treasure and strengthen your character so you and your teammates can win the match. Teamwork and communication are key, and you won’t be able to win alone!
The downside? Minecraft Legends does not feature local or split-screen co-op, as platforms like the official Minecraft Legends Steam page don’t list it as one. Fortunately, there is crossplay, so you don’t have to worry about playing on the same device as your friends.
Alongside multiplayer matches, you can also experience a single-player story mode where you explore the world and fight against hostile Piglins. While you do ally with non-playable characters and mobs, you’ll primarily travel alone atop your mount as you progress through the story.
