Lego Fortnite Battle Royale

Is LEGO Fortnite a Battle Royale? – Answered

No killing your fellow blocks

LEGO Fortnite is here, carrying over your usual skins, the Fortnite maps, and a lot of objectives you can accomplish while freely exploring it with your favorite character. But wait, is it just me or am I missing something like… my guns and my enemies?

Is LEGO Fortnite a Battle Royale Match?

LEGO Fortnite is not a PvP Battle Royale game, and it’s much more akin to games like Minecraft or Terraria if you want a more direct comparison. You won’t find your usual guns or any of this heavier armament here since you won’t have other player characters to fight against, but you can indeed make other weapons like Swords, Bows, and Pickaxes.

The game mode is completely PvE Co-op focused and no signs of PvP are to be found anywhere, not even friendly fire. This means that for now, you can’t fight randoms or your friends even while in a Sandbox world made by yourself. This could be changed later with a possible addition of a different, PvP-focused mode, but it doesn’t seem like this will happen so soon.

It does feature many of the base Fortnite elements such as aiming, so one could argue that the basis is already here. People have been making their Minecraft PvP servers for ages too, so there’s no reason not to allow players to make their own Battle Royale-like LEGO server, but we’ll have to wait and see if that’ll be the case in the next updates.

But if said game mode never hits live, you can always get a bit creative and try to make something like a dangerous server where players can indirectly kill each other. There are tons of enemies around and you can set them up as you wish, after all. Just be ready to defend yourself with the first thing you have in your hands.
