Luckily, there’s a way to unlock the FPS cap on cutscenes, but you are going to need a lot of things. Here’s how you can unlock your FPS during cutscenes in AC Shadows.

Removing the 30 FPS cap on cutscenes isn’t possible in the game. You cannot find anything in the settings to change this setting, but you can download another program to unlock the frame rate in cutscenes.

A user by the name of Kaldaien made a program to unlock the frames on cutscenes in AC Shadows. You can click the link that leads to the discussion post on Steam about the software.

There’s a long list of instructions to follow; you must download and install Kaldaien’s Special K, replace some “.dll” files, and use the SKIF to launch the game (because of the DRM and anti-cheat software).

At the time of writing, the program is still in its test release stage and could change in the future. However, it has already been working for the users who have tried it out, but there could be complications if Ubisoft decides to update or release new content.

While it might not be malicious, it is still up to the company how they want to protect their product.
