Elon Musk has garnered himself quite the reputation in a variety of social sphere. But can you expect to see the tech billionaire when you boot up Cyberpunk 2077? Here’s whether you should keep your ocular implants peeled for an Elon Musk cameo in Cyberpunk 2077.
Did Elon Musk Get a Cameo in Cyberpunk 2077?
Elon Musk has a bit of a fixation on space, cyborgs, and the future of technology. So, it only makes sense that he’d have a keen interest in Cyberpunk 2077, which brings the future of technology to the forefront in a gritty neon-soaked world.
And while he purportedly demanded a cameo from CD Projekt Red, it’s unclear whether his demands bore fruit.
Walter Isaacson, in Elon Musk’s Biography Elon Musk wrote:
“When Grimes was doing the voice recordings for the cyborg pop-star she played in the video game Cyberpunk 2077, he showed up at the studio wielding a two-hundred-year-old gun and insisted that they give him a cameo. “The studio guys were like sweating,” Grimes says. Adds Musk, “I told them that I was armed but not dangerous.”
They relented. The cybernetic implants in the game were a sci-fi version of what he was doing.
“It hit close to home,” he says. “

But since Cyberpunk 2077’s initial release in 2020, Elon Musk’s cameo still hasn’t manifested. Though there’s an Elon look-alike in the opening scenes of the corporate route. However, a representative from CD Projekt Red has purportedly stated that this is not Musk.
“Though it’s entirely possible that Musk appears in “Cyberpunk 2077,” this man was not intended to be that cameo, a representative for “Cyberpunk 2077” told Business Insider.”

But that doesn’t mean that Musk isn’t hiding somewhere in some seedy club or in the crowds of Night City.
