A lot of people have been asking how to get Source Crystals in Injustice 2, and we’re here to answer that question for you. Injustice 2 Source Crystals are one of the many in-game currencies that you can use to unlock various items, and even level up a character. Unfortunately, it can be difficult and time-consuming to obtain Source Crystals through the game, but we’ll cover how you can get Source Crystals in Injustice 2 and what Source Crystals are used for.
How to Get Source Crystals
There are a few different ways to earn Source Crystals in Injustice 2. The most cost-effective way is to level up your profile. This is different from the individual character levels. You can find your profile level on your Hero Card, located in most game screens, but found directly in the Extras area under Hero Card. Every time you increase your profile level you will earn Source Crystals. The amount you earn increases as your level increase.
Source Crystals Earned Per Player Level
Profile Level | Crystals Earned Per Level Increase |
1-19 | 100 |
20-39 | 150 |
40+ | 200 |
You can also obtain Source Crystals by playing through the Multiverse or potentially through the Daily Challenges. Daily Challenges are found on the right side of the screen on most of the menus. While it is rare to get Source Crystals as rewards in the Multiverse and Daily Challenges, it can happen. Just check the Daily Challenges every day to see if Source Crystals are offered as a reward.
Finally, you can purchase Source Crystals with real money. If you’re just dying to get Source Crystals and you aren’t willing to grind through the game to get them, you can head to the PSN Store or Xbox Live Marketplace and purchase them.
Source Crystal Purchase Prices
- 2,000 Source Crystals – $0.99
- 11,000 Source Crystals – $4.99
- 23,000 Source Crystals – $9.99
- 50,000 Source Crystals – $19.99
- 150,000 Source Crystals – $49.99
Source Crystal Uses
You can use Source Crystals for a few different things in Injustice 2. The main use is to purchase premiere skins and alternate colors for your character. However, once you have at least one character at level 20, you can use Source Crystals to level up another character to 20 immediately. Unfortunately, due to the effort it takes to obtain Source Crystals, you may just want to use them for skins and alternate colors.
If you play through the Story Mode you should have enough Source Crystals for one skin by the time you’re done. You should also have a decently high profile level so you can start to earn even more Source Crystals the more you play the game.
