As we’ve all had ample time to dig into Tears of the Kingdom, it’s time to talk Temple rewards. You know, those four massive areas with the anomalous activity you’re told to investigate? What if I told you they’d also help Link build an army of cool ghosts? It’s sort of like a Necromancer build in Diablo 4, only clunkier. Here’s how to use your Sage Powers in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Unlock Sage Power in Tears of the Kingdom
This one is pretty simple – you’ll just need to finish any number of the Regional Anamoly quests and their respective Temples to unlock each Sage. For example, Tulin, the Sage of Wind, is found in Rito Village while Yunobo, the Sage of Fire, resides in Death Mountain. Each Sage has different abilities (which we’ll get to in a moment), so you may want to prioritize the ones you think will suit your playstyle most.
How to Activate Sage Powers in Tears of the Kingdom
To activate Sage powers, players must first leave the region in which they were unlocked for them to become available. Then, it’s just a matter of using the A button with the correct context. Each ability is used as follows:
Tulin: Press the A button while gliding to gust forward.
Yunobo: Press the A button while standing near him, then press it again to launch him forward, dealing damage to foes and breaking rocks.
Riju: Press the A button while standing near her, then fire an arrow within her aura to strike foes with lightning.
Sidon: Press the A button while standing near him, then attack or be struck by an attack to activate his water shield ability.

Pretty simple, but I got a bit hung up on them not being available right away, so be sure you make some distance after unlocking them if you want to try these out right away. If you’re interested in unlocking the secret fifth Sage, check out our guide right here.
