Finally, we know the way to unlock the XTEN Black Kite in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. For those not in the know, Call of Duty MW2 released to great acclaim earlier this year, in October 2022. But the release was not without its issues. And while MWII has received its fair share of patches and fixes since its release, the XTEN Black Kite attachment has remained stubbornly elusive for many players.

How to Unlock the XTEN Black Kite in MW2

Call of Duty: MWII is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, FPS shooter out right now, offering both the traditional multiplayer experience and a battle royale. But what’s an FPS without its guns? MWII offers an impressive arsenal of death-slingers, from assault rifles to riot shields. And what drives many players to return week after week (if not year after year) is that these weapons can be customized to best suit your play style.

This is done by unlocking attachments, each of which has its own sets of pros and cons. The XTEN Black Kite, for example, is a universal attachment which can be used with any gun. It provides recoil control, sound suppression, recoil smoothness, and increased bullet velocity. But it also lowers aim down sight speed, aiming stability, and aim walking speed.

Still, if you find that the pros outweigh the cons, the XTEN Black Kite might be the muzzle for you. To unlock it previously, you needed to over level the SMG FSS Hurricane to Level 16. You could do this by simply using the FSS Hurricane like normal until it hit the next level. The FSS Hurricane has received an update and shows the proper level, but the method for unlocking the XTEN Black Kite is the same. Simply level up the FSS Hurricane to Level 16 and it will unlock.
