How to Get the Guardian Turret in The Finals

The Finals is all about getting that cold hard cash. And what better way to help you cash out (or prepare a nice surprise) than the Guardian Turret?

This Turret can be placed on any flat surface and if another player gets too close, it’ll start shooting into them. And getting it is pretty easy.

First, select a Medium Contestant. The weight class of your contestant affects what weapons, equipment, and even gadgets you can use.

Next, from the main menu, select Equipment.

On the far left, you’ll see a column that says Specializations. The Medium’s default specialization is the Healing Beam. Select the Guardian Turret. You’ll need 800 VR to purchase the Guardian Turret.

VR is the currency you get by playing the game and completing matches. You’ll get the most VR by cashing out during games and by winning. Losing and failing to cash out will also net you VR, just substantially less.

Once you have the Guardian Turret unlocked, head back to the main menu and select Contestants. Select the Medium Contestant again, then press ‘Edit’. This will allow you to equip the Guardian Turret in the slot where the Healing Beam currently is. Just select ‘Healing Beam’ to see the Guardian Turret as an option.

The Guardian Turret will have the same keybind as the Healing Beam. For Xbox players, that means the RB key.

Now, you can deploy the Guardian Turret whenever you like in the game. However, because it has a short range, it’s a good idea to put it around a corner as a surprise to anyone who tries to rush the room you’re in. This is great if you’re trying to cash out and you’re hunkering down against the wave of enemy players who want your cash.
