How to Unlock the Amrita Pool in Genshin Impact

So you're saying that I can get money by tossing plumes on a pool?

The Amrita Pool is a feature from Sumeru desert that works just like the Tree of Dreams in the rainforests. Introduced in Genshin Impact 3.6 version, this fancy pond gives you various blessings as you rank it up with collectibles scattered all around the northern desert areas. And with blessings, I mean Primogems and other stuff you probably don’t care that much about.

It won’t be available from the get-go, but all you gotta do is a few sidequests that have little space for detours and it will soon be done, so let’s see that step by step. Here’s how to unlock the Amrita Pool in Genshin Impact.

How to Unlock Amrita Pool in Genshin Impact

Before unlocking the pool, you need to reach the Gavireh Lajavard area in the north of Sumeru desert and start the Khvarena of Good and Evil questline by picking up a drum hidden in the sands. It triggers automatically as soon as you approach the first Waypoint, so it’s hard to miss.

As you progress through the first quest “The Splendorous Sky That Day”, you’ll earn Sorush, the small red companion that aids you in your journey through the sands. With Sorush equipped, interact with at least one of the various Fravashi Trees and complete the Pari’s request. After that, conclude the main quest which ends by speaking with Zurvan.

Zurvan will now have another World Quest available named “Heart of Amrita”. Simply follow the instructions to find and unlock the Amrita Pool permanently.

So in summary: Start the 3.6 area’s quests, obtain Sorush and use it to interact with a Fravashi Tree and complete the Heart of Amrita quest to get access to the pool and the Waypoint next to it.

The Amrita Pool is leveled up by tossing the Plumes of Purifying Light you’ve gathered around the areas, which are all only obtainable with Sorush. This takes a while, but grants some interesting rewards.
