How to Unlock More Glyphs in Diablo 4

Luck not included.

Glyphs are one of the best ways to boost your power on the Diablo 4 Paragon Board, but obtaining them isn’t as simple as other drops in the game. Everyone starts with a few basic Glyphs by the end of the campaign, and in this guide, I can help you get the powerful ones that push your build to the next level.

Where to Get More Glyphs in Diablo 4

Glyphs can be unlocked by completing activities like Helltides, World Bosses, and Grim Favors. There is a good chance when I go to the Tree of Whispers after collecting 10 Grim Favors that at least one Glyph will drop as a reward. This is exactly how I got many of the rare ones in Diablo 4 for my own Rogue.

In general, Glyphs will drop as random loot for rewards. Unlike Legendary items, they won’t necessarily drop just by taking out enemies around Sanctuary. Instead, it’s important to collect as many completion rewards as possible, which is why the World Boss reward boxes are a great option as well.

To find the Glyphs that you’ve unlocked so far, you can open up the Paragon Board which is under the abilities section on the character screen. Everyone starts with a few Magic Glyphs to get started and make use of the first socket. These aren’t your best options though. Look out for the yellow drops as you complete content in the end game.

You can also upgrade these Glyphs in Diablo 4 with XP from Nightmare Dungeons. Not only can Glyphs drop from Nightmare dungeons as a final reward, but there is also a pedestal that appears. This is the only way to increase the power of a Glyph and I’m still grinding out XP from these dungeons to get all the power I can.
