How to Unlock Ed’s Outfit 2 in Street Fighter 6

To unlock Ed’s Outfit 2 in Street Fighter 6, you must raise his Bond Level to 100 after becoming his student in World Tour Mode.

How to Become Ed’s Student in SF6 World Tour Mode

To become Ed’s student in World Tour Mode, you’ll need to complete the “Neo Shadaloo’s Leader?” side quest. The side quest becomes available after progressing in World Tour Mode’s main story.

Talk to C. Raven in the Haggard Stadium Subway in Metro City at night to begin the side quest. Your first order of business is to go down into the subway and fight a group of enemies with boxes on their heads. Afterward, enter the subway train and watch the cutscene introducing Ed.

After the cutscene, talk to C. Raven again on the nearby subway platform. C. Raven will give you two copies of Fighter Magazine Special Issue. Now you can talk to Ed nearby, which starts another fight in which your character tag teams with Ed against more box head enemies.

Defeat the enemies, then answer some of Ed’s questions. The responses you select don’t affect the outcome—you’ll be enrolled as Ed’s student and can start using his fighting style and giving him gifts.

How to Get Ed’s Best Gift Item: Old Boxing Almanac

You can obtain Ed’s best gift, the Old Boxing Almanac, by completing “The Psycho Power Experiment” side quest. To start this side quest, visit Old Nayshall during the day and talk to Pelma near The Lowlands – South Area fast travel point.

After speaking to Pelma, you’ll need to make your way to the very north end of the map and speak to three defeated fighters: Ramesh, Gandda, and Sashira. Sashira will give you an upper body equipment, “Sarashi.” Equip the Sarashi and talk to Sashira again to progress the side quest.

You’ll have to fight and defeat a Level 65 Psycho Power user, Experimental Subject Lee, who uses Ed’s moves. After defeating him, return to The Lowlands – South Area and speak to Pelma to complete the quest. In addition to a Shadaloo Soldier Suit, you’ll receive the Old Boxing Almanac, which has Balrog on the cover.

The Old Boxing Almanac gift item increases Ed’s Bond Level by a whopping 40 points when you give it to him. It is highly recommended to complete The Psycho Power Experiment side quest to obtain the Old Boxing Almanac to speed up the process of increasing Ed’s Bond Level considerably.

How to Get Ed’s Liked Gift Item: Trading Cards

Trading Cards are a gift item that increased Ed’s Bond Level by 5 points. You need to defeat Dolls Maple using Cammy’s fighting style to get these items.

You can find Dolls Maple by traveling to the Suval’hal Arena – Entrance in Old Nayshall, then climbing the great stairs. Dolls Maple stands out from the crowd since she is dressed in the Street Fighter Alpha Dolls outfit.

Dolls Maple is Level 64, making her a fairly challenging opponent. You’ll also need to leave the area and return each time you want to get another Trading Card from her. It’s worth getting at least one Trading Card from Dolls Maple, but if you have Zenny to spare, there are other options for raising Ed’s Bond Level.

Where to Buy Ed’s Less Liked Gift Item: Fighter Magazine Special Issue

Fighter Magazine Special Issue is a gift item that raises Ed’s Bond Level by 2 points. You can buy Fighter Magazine Special Issue from Shopkeeper Biz for 1260 Zenny each under the Takeout tab. Shopkeeper Biz is next to the Beat Square subway station, which is where Ed is located after you unlock him as a Master.

Other Miscellaneous Gifts Ed Likes

It’s important to note that Ed is thus far the only Street Fighter 6 character who only gains 1 Bond Level from Prepaid Cards. Save your Prepaid Cards for raising other Master’s Bond Levels.

Besides the Fighter Magazine Special Issue, Junk Disc also raises Ed’s Bond Level by 2 points. The Junk Disc is a random drop from battling Azam’s students. This gift item actually raises Rashid’s Bond Level by 5 points, but if you’ve already maxed out his Bond Level, you can give the rest of your Junk Disc stash to Ed for some quick extra points.

Refer to the following table for a shortened list of gifts and how many points they increase Ed’s Bond Level by. Try to avoid giving Ed gifts that only raise his Bond Level by 1 if possible, since they will raise other Masters’ Bond Levels by a higher amount.

Gift ItemIncrease to Ed’s Bond Level

Trading Card+5
Fighter Magazine Special Issue+2

Ed will receive a DLC Outfit 3 at a later date. In the meantime, you can read up on the base game’s cast’s Outfit 3 inspirations.
