Here’s how you can unlock all of Goku’s alternate timelines, along with some handy tips and tricks—no spoilers included!

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO – How to Unlock All Goku Battle Alternate Timelines

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO presents alternate timelines in two main ways:

  1. Arcs that follow a series of fights leading up to a monumental conclusion.
  2. Episodes that follow a single fight with a slight story change.

Choices during pivotal moments in the storyline allow you to change the outcome, however, most fights have battle conditions that, when fulfilled, unlock alternate arcs and episodes. These opportunities are marked by a green icon on the map, indicating different paths the story can take—either sticking to the canon or diverging into uncharted territory.

Here’s the complete list of alternate arcs and episodes in chronological order:

Goku’s Saga

Chapter 1 – Saiyan Arc

Episode: The Earth’s Mightiest Duo?!

Options: Go it alone or Work with Piccolo.

Episode: Raditz vs. The Turtle School

    • Survive a given time (canon).
    • Defeat Raditz: Unlocks the “Side by Side” arc.

Episode: Rematch and Result

  • Battle Conditions:
    • Unable to defeat Raditz in elapsed time (canon).

Chapter 2 – Planet Namek Arc

Episode: Arrival on Planet Namek

    • Defeat Burter: If Jeice is not defeated in time, Burter joins the fight (canon).

Chapter 3 – Android/Cell Arc

Episode: Hyperbolic Time Chamber

Options: Wait for Vegeta and the others, or Go and help.

This is a pivotal moment in the timeline where you’re faced with 2 choices, either follow the canonical timeline by waiting for Vegeta and Trunks to come out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber or take it upon yourself and fight Cell before he reaches his perfect form.

Choice 2: Go and help.

Episode: Defeat Cell!

  • Battle Conditions:
    • Take a Solar Flare: Cell uses Solar Flare, returning you to the canonical timeline.
    • Defeat Cell: Unlocks the “The Changing Future” arc.

Important Note: Lowering the difficulty setting will prevent you from unlocking these alternate arcs and episodes. You must play on the default difficulty to earn these alternate storylines.
