How to Turn Crossplay On and Off in Diablo 4

Didn't we want to end the separation between PC and Console players?

Modern-era gaming allows Crossplay for a lot of games, which gives you the opportunity to duke it out with or against console gamers if you are a PC gamer, or vice versa, to play with or against PC gamers while on your preferred console. Luckily, Diablo 4 has Crossplay enabled, but if for any reason you feel like disabling it, the process is rather easy. Here is how you can turn Crossplay on or off for your Diablo 4 client, whether you’re on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox.

Meddling with the Crossplay setting in Diablo 4 cannot be done at just any moment. You need to be out of the game, in the menu, preferably on the Character Select screen. So, if you’re in-game, you need to “Leave Game”.

Then, in the Options, you need to scroll all the way to “Social” which is near the end of the options list located at the top of your screen.

Within Social, you will see the “Cross Network Section”. There are two options within Cross Network Section:

  • Cross-Network Play
  • Cross-Network Communications

Check the screenshot below to see what it looks like in action:

Both will be on by default. If you want to have Crossplay ON, you should have these options on. If you want to have the Crossplay feature OFF on your client, you should click on the “Cross-Network Play” option to uncheck it. After you are done changing the Crossplay option, you should save the options and there you have it, Crossplay is set according to your needs.
