How Does Transformation Work in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

To transform in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, you first need to build up your Skill Counter. You will see your Skill Counter at the top left, right under your character avatar. Once the bar is filled up, you will get one Skill Counter, which you can use for transformation. You will know if your character is ready for transformation when you see a blue arrow icon next to the character avatar.

Now that you have a Skill Counter, look for a blue arrow icon next to your character avatar. Once you see the arrow appear under there, hold the D-pad up or press R3/RS to bring a menu and select the face you want your character to transform into.

You will find one or two transformation options to choose from. Some also have three forms that you can unlock when you have enough skill points. However, not every character in the game can transform. Krillin and Videl are examples of characters who cannot transform in the game.

One more thing to note is that you cannot use transformations in Episode Battles. The transformations are done automatically mid-fight in story mode, and you have no control over them. You can only transform to different phases in Multiplayer and other modes.

Transformations are a cool way to boost your character’s stats mid-game and unlock special abilities and moves. You can also pick the strongest form of the character from the start, but it will cost you more points than the base version, and you also don’t get the buff you would have gotten after transforming mid-fight. Plus, transforming in front of your opponent and noticing the surge in your character’s power gives you a confidence boost at that time, and it looks cool.
