How to Skip The War Within Campaign on Alts in World of Warcraft

The World of Warcraft: The War Within campaign is quite lengthy, but in a good way. However, some players don’t want to go through the same campaign over and over when they want to try out a new class because it becomes tedious and boring. Luckily, World of Warcraft has had these types of features in the past, so you can skip the campaign on your alts like Threads of Fate. In World of Warcraft: The War Within, you can still skip the campaign with your alts, and it doesn’t have any fancy names attached to it. Here’s how you can skip the campaign on your alts.

Can You Skip The War Within Campaign on Alts in World of Warcraft?

Yes. You can skip the campaign on every single alt you have, but you need to finish the prerequisites. Firstly, you must finish the campaign on at least one character to unlock the world quests and adventure mode. The campaign finishes as you unite the severed threads in Azj-Kahet and go back to the city of Dornogal to prepare for the endgame content like Mythic+ dungeons, raids, and more.

The quest you are looking for is Surface Bound, which only requires you to talk to certain NPCs to finish the quest. Once you have unlocked adventure mode, you can jump on your alt and be free in the world of Khaz Algar. Here’s how you can do it.

How to Skip the Campaign on Alts in WoW TWW

When you log in to any alt, you need to reach at least level 70, which is the baseline level for experiencing the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion. It doesn’t matter how you reach level 70. You’ll always get a “campaign” quest signaling you to the War Within expansion. If you hit level 70 on the spot, you might get a pop-up message on your screen or your objectives.

If not, you can always open the Adventure Journal/Guide and look for the War Within quest. A quest (Harbinger) might even tell you to go to the Chamber of the Guardian. However, you are looking for the quest called “The War Within” which gives you a Teleportation Scroll item upon accepting the quest.

It tells you to meet with either Thrall or Jaina, depending on your faction, but both of them will be in Silithus. Use the Teleportation Scroll and instantly teleport to Silithus. Talk to either Jaina or Thrall and don’t continue the quest. In this dialogue or chat window, you’ll see a skip similar to the one in the image above.
