Best Classes in the World of Warcraft: The War Within | Meta Snapshot

As the say goes, play what makes you happy.

World of Warcraft: The War Within is shaping the meta like no other expansion has done before because of its hero talent introduction. While some classes will only see slight variations in their skill rotations and strength, other classes will receive a massive damage boost and added utilities. While Activision Blizzard will surely keep updating the classes, some classes look like clear winners as the best classes in the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansions. Let’s get into it!

Strongest Classes in the World of Warcraft: TWW | What You Should Main

Mage

The Sunfury hero tree from the Mage class looks like a no-brainer winner. It is definitely one of the coolest hero talent trees in the game, and it also brings back the Frostfire Bolt ability to Fire Mages. Arcane also receives massive damage and a more streamlined rotation, making it much more easier to get into. Frost Mages almost remains the same as their previous version in Dragonflight. The Mage class is in its perfect state.

Demon Hunter

Vengeance Demon Hunters have been the undisputed king of mythic+ dungeons for several expansions, and it doesn’t look like they’ll get overtaken soon. The absurd number of utilities and being one of the most mobile classes make them the greatest tanks in dungeons. Havoc Demon Hunters are also sitting pretty highly on the damage charts when it comes to melee DPS.

Evoker

Evokers has garnered controversies involving its Augmentation specialization. It is the first-ever full support (buffer) role that almost seems mandatory when finishing the hardest content, such as high M+ keys and mythic raiding. Their buffs enhance everyone.

However, it isn’t that fun to play. Nevertheless, it has two other specializations: Devastation and Preservation. Both specializations were slightly below the average during the end of Dragonflight, and they might remain the same. Essentially, the Augmentation specializations singlehandedly landed the Evoker on the list.

Shaman

Shamans have always been playing around the middle of the meta snapshot for every expansion. However, the Elemental Shaman has been in muddy waters for several expansions, and a resurgence in the meta is slowly being seen.

The end of Shadowlands and Dragonflight certainly reinvented the class in a better way, and we might see it top the DPS charts like in those glorious days in Mists of Pandaria. Restoration Shamans have always been a great healer specialization because of multiple utilities in raids. Enhancement Shaman might be in the middle of the pack, but it is still too early to say.

Priest

The Priest class was certainly in its best form in Dragonflight, and because of it, we are seeing little changes in the class. Shadow Priests still revolve around spreading those Devouring Plagues and being an amazing AoE DPS with a great single-target alternative. Discipline Priests are still some of the hardest healers to play because you have to be proactive rather than reactive, but they are the strongest in M+ runs if you know how to play them. Holy Priests are generally great raid healers, and you will definitely have a specialization to fall back on.
