How to See All Endings in Thymesia

Chaotic, Pure Blood, Vile Blood, Harmonized, or Power of Cleansing? Which Thymesia ending will you choose?

In traditional Soulsborne fashion, the newly released Soulslike RPG for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Thymesia, provides a variety of endings to those who manage to brave their way through its story and sidequests. After traversing the three main locations in Hermes Kingdom, deciphering Thymesia’s story, defeating the bosses, looting their cores, and battling his inner-self in an epic final boss fight, our hero, Corvus, will be entrusted with a final choice of deciding which two of the seven available cores to give Aisemy in order to create Hermes’ Answer.

Through bringing Hermes’ Answer to the core of the giant tree, Corvus can end the plague ravaging the kingdom, and save the monarchical society from certain doom. But Thymesia players BEWARE, as choosing the wrong combination of cores can lead to an unsatisfying conclusion, descending the kingdom into utter chaos.

There are five possible endings in Thymesia, which are named: Chaotic Power, Power of Vile Blood, Blessing of Pure Blood, Harmonized Force, and Power of Cleansing. In order to see each of these endings and receive the “Memory Seeker” trophy/achievement, you must do the following: 1) win the final boss fight, 2) choose a core combination for Hermes’ Answer, 3) watch the ending and decide whether it is the truth or not, 4) return to Philosopher’s Hill, and 5) repeat this process until you have seen every Thymesia ending.

While the sheer number of endings may seem overwhelming at first, ultimately, each can be found simply by using the correct combo of cores (and in the right order in two particular instances). After seeing a certain ending, Thymesia will ask, “Is this the truth?” The player can either choose “YES” or “NO.” Choosing “YES” will cause the credits to roll, while “NO” will immediately return the player to Philosopher’s Hill. Either way, progress will be saved and Corvus will find himself back at Philosopher’s Hill with 10,000 additional memory shards earned from the final boss fight. Each ending is listed below, but first is a list of the cores, where to find them, and their classification. WARNING: major spoilers ahead.

Character Core Classification

Pureblood Cores

After showing slain bosses’ cores to Aisemy and Emerald, in the “Lore” section of the Collection tab of the pause menu, it is discovered that the blue cores looted from bosses in Thymesia are considered “Pure Cores.” The following characters drop Pure Blood cores:

Varg

Defeating Varg in the first Hermes Fortress level will give Corvus Varg’s Core.

Urd

Defeating Urd in Hermes Fortress – Sub Quest 1 will give Corvus Urd’s Core.

Vileblood Cores

After showing slain bosses’ cores to Aisemy and Emerald, in the “Lore” section of the Collection tab found in the pause menu, it can be discovered that the red cores looted from bosses in Thymesia are considered “Vile Cores,” which can be procured from the following characters.

Odur

Defeating Odur in the first Sea of Trees level will give Corvus Odur’s Core.

God of the Fools

Defeating God of the Fools in Sea of Trees – God of the Fools Sub Quest will give Corvus the Fool’s God’s Core.

Sound of the Abyss

Defeating Sound of the Abyss in the Underground Laboratory Sub Quest will give Corvus the Sound of the Abyss’ Core.

Fused Blood Cores

After showing slain bosses’ cores to Aisemy and Emerald, in the “Lore” section of the Collection tab found in the pause menu, it can be discovered that the purple cores looted from bosses in Thymesia are considered “Fused Cores,” which can be acquired from the following bosses:

Mutated Odur

Defeating Mutated Odur in the Sea of Trees – Mutated Odur Sub Quest will give Corvus Mutated Odur’s Core.

The Hanged Queen

Defeating The Hanged Queen in the first Royal Garden level will give Corvus The Hanged Queen’s Core.

All Thymesia Endings

Chaotic Power Ending

This ending is found by using any two different core types for Hermes’ Solution (Pure Blood + Vile Blood, Pure Blood + Fused Blood, Vile Blood + Fused Blood). If you only play the story missions and avoid all of the sub quests, this is the ending you will receive. One example core combination that can be administered to get this ending would be to choose Varg’s Core and The Hanged Queen’s Core for Hermes’ Solution, but any two different-blooded cores will do the job.

Power of Vile Blood Ending

This ending is viewable by giving any two Vile Blood cores to Aisemy. As mentioned above, the three red Vile Blood cores are Odur’s Core, Fool’s God Core, and Sound of the Abyss’ Core. Simply choose any two of these three cores for Hermes’ Solution, and you will be able to witness the Vile Blood ending.

Blessing of Pure Blood Ending

This ending is found by choosing Varg’s Core and Urd’s Core (in either order) for Hermes’ Solution. These are the game’s two Pure Blood cores and are the only ones that may be used to achieve this ending.

Harmonized Force

This ending can be seen by giving the Mutated Odur’s Core and The Hanged Queen’s Core to Aisemy for Hermes’ solution. The game’s two Fused Blood Cores can be given in either order to witness this ending.

The Power of Cleansing

This ending is a tricky one. The Power of Cleansing ending can be seen by giving The Hanged Queen’s Core and Mutated Odur’s Core (in either order) to Aisemy for Hermes’ solution, but if you don’t do the right action, it instead results in the Harmonized Force Ending. Through rigorous testing, I’ve found that the Power of Cleansing ending is an encounter that only will occur if you move Corvus towards the tree during the final cutscene. It is unclear if fast-forwarding through the final cutscene helps to achieve this ending, but it may be worth trying if you can’t seem to trigger this conclusion. After holding the “skip” button to fast forward through the cutscene, walking Corvus towards the tree should trigger a second cutscene, which will be a telltale sign that you are witnessing The Power of Cleansing Ending.

A safe way to ensure that you can achieve this ending is to defeat Corvus in the final boss fight, return to Philosopher’s Hill, wait for Thymesia to save, and close the application before making Hermes’ Decision. Upload a backup save to the cloud, and once again give Aisemy The Hanged Queen’s Core and Mutated Odur’s Core, and then make sure you move Corvus towards the tree during the final cutscene. If you don’t get the ending, reload your cloud save and try again.
