Tired of having to return to town halfway through a dungeon, or right before an important event like a World Boss or Legion Event starts? Well, do I have the tips for you! Join me in my quest to be the laziest Diablo 4 player I can be, because goodness me am I tired of trying to remember where all the town vendors are located. Here’s how to save inventory space in Diablo 4.
Stop Picking Up Gems in Diablo 4
I’m serious, just stop. They sell for what, 4 GOLD EACH? And you’re using how many, exactly? A handful across your entire armor set, which you can pop out at the Gemcrafter for a pittance should you find an upgrade. If you have more than a stack of 50 high-tier gems in your stash tabs, I’m sorry, but you’re a hoarder.

And another thing: these are worthless. Maybe you’re in endgame and you’re seeing Sacred and Ancestral gear – why on earth would you grab a Magic tier item off the ground? To sell? Just sell the Rares you don’t want or need! They’re more valuable, and you’ll be spending your time more wisely for it.
Slot Extra Gems in Gear You’re Planning On Salvaging
If you absolutely must pick up gems for some reason, at least put them in the Sockets of gear you’re going to scrap. This way, they return to your bag after the fact and save you some space in the meantime.
For the hoarders out there: gems will automatically go into the material tab in Season 2, so if you’re crazy about picking up worthless things off the ground you can do so guilt-free in just a few months.
