Sometimes, it feels like time and space conspire to keep you from being happy. Especially when happiness is directly linked to playing the hotly anticipated, gorgeously rendered Resident Evil 4 Remake as soon as possible. But don’t let your dreams be dreams. With this simple trick, you can be slaying the infected in minutes. Here’s how to play Resident Evil 4 Remake early with the New Zealand Time Trick.

How to Play Resident Evil 4 Remake Early with the New Zealand Time Trick

New Zealand might just be the holy land for gamers when developers opt to go by the midnight system instead of global release system, as its one of the first countries to see midnight. But Xbox and PS5 players can trick their systems into thinking it’s midnight, thus getting access to midnight-released games first.

For Xbox users, the process is simple:

  • Go to Settings
  • Scroll to and select System
  • Select Language & location
  • Beneath the Location drop down menu, select English (New Zealand)

And… that’s it! Your Xbox is dumb enough to think you’re in New Zealand, the absolute fool. Feel free to whack and shoot the infected to your heart’s content.

For PlayStation users, the process is simple but not great:

  • Make a brand new account and set it to New Zealand
  • Buy (or re-buy) Resident Evil 4 Remake

… Yeah, I wish I had better news for you. It’s possible you can spring for a refund on the game, as you haven’t played it yet. Or you could wait around for the passage of time like the rest of the people in your time zone.

Either way, good luck and godspeed, gamer. While you’re at it, why not take a gander at all the achievements that might soon be yours?: All Achievements and Trophies in Resident Evil 4 Remake – Listed.
