Xbox
If you’re playing on Xbox, you can set your region and time to New Zealand to trick your Xbox into thinking the game is out already. Follow the steps below to make it work. Just be warned that some users are posting that the trick is causing them to be locked out of their game, so do this at your own risk.
- Go to Settings
- Click on System
- Change your Language and Location to New Zealand
- Reset your Xbox Console
This will now trick the system into thinking you’re in New Zealand, and the game will be unlocked for you. You can now play Dead Island 2 a bit early. Just remember to switch back to wherever you’re from when you’re done.

PC
